Doves

dove-releaseA dove release during a funeral at sea is one of the most beautiful sights to behold.  A dozen or more doves, actually white homing pigeons, leave the deck of the boat at the same time.  They fly up overhead, perhaps 100 feet, circle around a dozen times or so to read the magnetic patterns of the earth, and fly straight home.  Our doves have an 80 mile flight home from the Gulf of Mexico, and they make it there in little over an hour.  If you would like to have a dove release with a funeral at sea, contact us for details.  This is surprisingly inexpensive, and is perhaps the most commented upon and appreciated service that we offer.  doverelease3doverelease4

We can also provide other services for a Funeral at Sea.  We have a bagpipe player available, and several of our Scottish and Irish familes have used his services.  We also have musicians available for live music.  Many families treat a Funeral at Sea as a celebration of a life well lived.

If you have questions about these or any other services, contact us at Funeral at Sea at any time.
